2011 Bend Backyard Collective with The Conservation Alliance

The Ruff Wear Pack spent Thursday morning working in the Metolius Preserve as part of The Conservation Alliance’s Backyard Collective series. These events bring together member company employees and local grantees for in-the-field, environmental action.

We joined other local Conservation Alliance members, REI, Gear Tribe, QuickFeat, and FootZone of Bend, along with local non-profits, Oregon Natural Desert Association and the Deschutes Land Trust. Our focus today was to remove a particular tree species to make more room for Ponderosa Pines and Douglas Fir. Ruff Wear is glad to be a part of The Conservation Alliance and to help make a difference in protecting wild places for habitat and recreation!

We’re pretty sure you can find one insulated jacket for each human here at Ruff Wear on any given winter day.  We felt like it was time to let our dogs in on the warmth, so we created a new dog jacket called the Quinzee™.  Its quilted insulation contains dog’s body heat and keeps them super warm in the coldest conditions. We (and our dogs) love the new Quinzee!
