Ruff Wear Celebrates Dog Park Opening with Float Coat Demo

jax

What better way to celebrate the opening of Bend, Oregon’s latest off-leash dog park than to let the dogs romp around the water wearing the latest in canine water gear?   Bend Parks & Recreation, along with the DogPAC and Ruff Wear, sponsored the opening of Riverbend Dog Park and swim area.

Canines of all shapes, sizes, and swim abilities gathered to try on green, orange, yellow, and red life jackets and then try their fetching skills against the current of the Deschutes.  Some swam far and strong to fetch their toy of choice; others gave up and came back with the first twig or piece of water debris they could find.  It was a day filled with wet dogs, slobbery fetch toys, and fur-covered life jackets.
