bikingA bicycle is one machine that helps keeps us lean and green. May is National Bike Month!

To support “Bike to Work Week”, a few of the crew at Ruff Wear pedaled their way to work last week.

Our home state of Oregon has been ranked No. 4 in the most “Most Bike Friendly States” according to the League of American Bicyclists. This ranking was a result of Oregon’s leadership in a Complete Streets Policy, which considers all roadway users, including bicyclists, when constructing roads. Oregon also excels in highlighting its fantastic cycling opportunities through its bike tourism promotion.

While Oregon was ranked No. 4 for Bike Friendliness, our neighboring state of Washington received the title of “Most Bike Friendly State in the US!”

Congratulations to everyone who participated in “National Bike to Work Week” and those who regularly make biking a part of their regular commute.

Did you bike to work last week?  Let us know!
